Warning!!! This is a sequel to Ashton's debut, Everneath, and as such will contain spoilers for book #1. Read at your own risk, you've been warned!!! :)

Nikki Beckett could only watch as her boyfriend, Jack, sacrificed himself to save her, taking her place in the Tunnels of the Everneath for eternity — a debt that should’ve been hers. She’s living a borrowed life, and she doesn’t know what to do with the guilt. And every night Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused and wasting away.

Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy who wants to make her his queen — and the one person least likely to help. But his heart has been touched by everything about Nikki, and he agrees to assist her in the only way he can: by taking her to the Everneath himself.

Nikki and Cole descend into the Everneath, only to discover that their journey will be more difficult than they’d anticipated — and more deadly. But Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack — even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own.

In this enthralling sequel to Everneath, Brodi Ashton tests the bonds of destiny and explores the lengths we’ll go to for the ones we love.

My Thoughts:

Romance fans will relish every moment of Ashton's sophomore release, Everbound- I sure did!

The action and adventure reminded me a lot the movie Labyrinth with David Bowie- there were lots of twists and turns, riddles and challenges Nikki, Cole (and friends) had to face through their journey of the tunnels of the Everneath.

Ashton has crafted one of the best love triangles, rivalled only by Mafi's Unravel Me series. I can honestly say I have know idea which boy I would pick, I would just keep them both and spend six months with each every year. Haha

Cole fans are sure to love this instalment as there is plenty of him to go around. His dry humour had me laughing throughout the book and his redeeming moments had me swooning quite a bit. But not to worry Jack fans, Ashton does a great job of incorporating enough flashback moments between Nikki and Jack, that he doesn't feel completely absent from this instalment.

While there is amazing line-up of story, characters and action within the pages of Everbound, it is, without a doubt, the romance of this story that will truly keep fans hooked and gasping for book #3 which I really think should be entitled Ever Yours.

This is one of my favourite series and definitely in my top three Best Reads pile for books that I have read for the past several months. Ashton I love your work, please don't ever stop writing!

Happy Reading!!!
